“Deaf Ears by Choice” 6th September 2007 14-year old Unity Surong had been invited by the Laitumkhrah church to minister the Word on their 1st anniversary of the last year’s revival. The Word of God impressed on Unity that she shared was as follows: “Like the seed that fell on different qualities of soil when it was sown, so also Holy Spirit’s Visitation again at Youth Week! 6th September 2007 Last year this time, the Youth Week marked a powerful move of the Holy Spirit. Several churches who celebrated the anniversary of this great move, last week saw another fresh move! Saturday 1st Sept at Jaiaw Presbyterian: The evening service was vibrant with the church packed out and exuberant, joyful worship and praying carried on. Many swooned as the presence of God was thick in the sanctuary and the service was a blessed, blessed one. Rev. Pradeep of Malki Presbyterian ministered the Word of God. Sunday 2ndt Sept at Mawlai Presbyterian: At Mawlai Nongkhwar, where Bah Khlain ministered, he felt led to share about the unusual visitation of a bird in his home the previous week. (The local newspapers had carried the news). As he did so, the Spirit of God moved powerfully and estimates are that perhaps around 200 of the congregation of approx 800 people fell down under the power of the Holy Spirit. Common manifestations included confession, repentance, deliverance, worship, visions … and being revived in the powerful presence of the Living God once again last Sunday! Sunday 2ndt Sept at Malki Presbyterian: Bah Barkos Warjri (who ministered at the evening service) and Pauline his wife, noticed the Cross (which had returned to its original non glowing, wooden state, last Nov) behind the altar looking brighter than usual before the Sunday evening service. But by Monday morning, there was no doubt at all. The Cross was glowing again, though differently from last year. This time it was the lower half of the vertical beam of the cross & some who rung in to inform said it looked like light falling in folds as if it were the hem of a garment of light! The cross is still glowing even as I write this on Thursday. Bah Barkos said the manifestation of unclean spirits began almost as if on cue. He was aware of at least a dozen in the first 24 hours and one young man was slithering all over the sanctuary like a snake. Ministry teams were deployed immediately. At Wapung Presbyterian in Jowai: Rev Warbah who ministered at Wapung estimates that he saw nearly 500 of the 800 worshippers being revived by the Holy Spirit in various supernatural ways during the service. Similar Revival services with the powerful presence of the Holy Spirit at La Rhumbai Presbyterian, also in Jowai district.
Cross glows again! 3 September, 2007 Just minutes ago we got a call from the Malki Presbyterian church saying that the cross there has started glowing again. For those of you who have been following the story of this mighty revival, know that last year at the same time the cross had started glowing. At that time thousands had flocked to the church in reverence and worship. The message is clear—the revival which has been quiet for a while now is not yet over. Revival at Nohrun July 29, 2007 As told by Bah Ricky Syngkon While the revival fires seem to have faded in the city of Shillong, it burns brightly in the rural areas. In the rural church of Nohrun, the women had organized a week of meetings. Nongrun is a small rural church past Smit in the East Khasi hills. On the last day, 22nd July, Bah Khlainbor and Bah Ricky went there. 300 people were present for the meeting. Everyone present—from the youngest at 3 years old to the oldest person experienced the power of God. People repented of sins, many fell down in the Spirit, others wept over their past, and many were healed. Drumbeats call people to God July 20, 2007 Three areas in Ribhoi district— Umsow-khwan, Nongrah and Lumthehsei experienced the power of God recently. About a month ago, drums were beaten and immediately many people poured into church. Since then meetings have been going on everyday. Interestingly, this time around it is not just the children who are experiencing revival, but adults as well. 17th July was the revival anniversary at Nongrah, and the people experienced a fresh wave of the Spirit. Almost entire congregation was moved by the Spirit, many were weeping and repenting, others were getting right with God, Yet more fell in the Spirit and many were healed. Power at Pinebrook July 17, 2007 To the extent people seek God, they will find Him. Recently Bah Khlainbor under direction from the Spirit called for fasting from the people. Meeting at Pinebrook school in Shillong, 600 people pressed in to know God closely. Several had come from nearly rural areas. Many cases of demonic deliverances were seen. Healing meetings at Laban July 2, 2007 Pastor Barry Manuel of the Morphett Vale Baptist church from Australia recently ministered at the Laban church. He taught about the gifts of the Spirit and healing in eight separate meetings. On Sunday, 2nd July, over 40 people came forward for healing. Over a dozen people testified on being healed immediately. Sheila Cherian, who connected them to the Laban church, was there. She said ‘One man in his late 60’s, fell over right near my feet. His face was covered with glory dust.’ Revival fire lights up— again Anniversary Celebration brings revival at Nongsawlia June 21, 2007 Earlier this evening we had a call with Rev Lyndan Syiem from Sohra. He said they had an unusual anniversary of last year’s revival at the Nongsawlia church from 4th to 11th June. On the 3rd night, five of the teenage girls of the Nongsawlia church who had been touched last year as well, felt that they should prepare the church for the week long celebration—for Jesus would be the Chief Guest. From the 4th to the 11th June it was like revival breaking out all over again. There were tears of conviction, deliverances, many falling under the power of the Spirit, visions amidst fervent prayer and praise. “Have I been left behind?” Interview with Bahep on his experience with the Glowing Cross June 15, 2007 Watch this interview with the young gifted singer Bahep. Raised in a Christian home, he however did not have any personal convictions of his own. On the night of 5th September, his close friend Keith text messaged at 2 a.m. saying Jesus had come to Malki. Listen to Bahep as he recounts that amazing moment and his encounter. Click Here
