“How to Pray In the Spirit” Lesson learnt from 13-year old! 15th March 2007 Related by Alan Majaw On 8th March, Alan Majaw visited the home where Pynhunglang (13) lives. It was about 9 .00 a.m and Alan was informed by the house owners that Pynhunglang was deep in prayer since 8.00 a.m. She had begun with singing and worshipping (and interestingly, this illiterate girl was singing entire hymns whose glorious contents fit perfectly!) After a deep sweet time of singing and worship, Pynhunglang could be heard beseeching God for mercy and asking for His intervention as she experienced in the spiritual realm how her relatives were being held in bondage by the enemy. The beseeching and the struggle was interspersed with singing, but the choice of hymns was different in content now and fitted in with this change in tempo…….then it was obvious something else had shifted as the young girl indicated in prayer that she was experiencing the light of Jesus coming toward and enveloping her! This was about the time when Alan came in on the scene. Pynhunglang had now already shifted from interceding in the Spirit to wielding authority in the Spirit! Alan began reading aloud from scripture verses that fit the occasion, but without disturbing the praying girl in any way. Pynhunglang picked these verses up in prayer and used the sword of the Spirit deftly and skillfully. Then she moved from praying for her relatives caught in bondage to praying for the leaders in the church. For a renewal and a refreshing of their love for Jesus and an active choosing to remain close to Him. There was authority greatly unusual in one so young (and illiterate too, remember?) as she spoke to the Leaders of the church in prayer in the spirit and instructed them to take their God appointed roles of shepherding their flock seriously. Along with Alan, there were others in the room as well. Soon everyone could feel a powerful release in their spirits. Quiet followed the encounter. Alan lightly tapped the girl who still remained with her eyes tightly shut and asked if he could pronounce the benediction. Pynhunglang indicated for him to go ahead and so he did. After the young girl had slowly woken up from her sojourn in the Spirit, Alan asked her about her experiences. Pynhunglang told Alan about how the light of Jesus had gradually engulfed her and the darkness that she was earlier struggling against had lifted. Simultaneously she said she could sense authority being bestowed upon her and she knew it was no longer about beseeching for mercy…but she moved confidently on to intercession for her relatives and then onto intercession in the Spirit for the leaders of the Church in their God appointed roles as Shepherds. What an experience to watch this live demonstration of “How to pray effectively and fervently, achieving much” – was Alan’s succinct summary at the end! ‘Glory dust’ at Australia Signals of Unity’s prophecy for Australia showing up 27th Feb 2007 Morphett Vale Baptist church in Adelaide has been experiencing signals of revival. In January 2007 they organized a conference called ‘Show Your Glory’ where people from many churches came. One group went back to Brisbane and has planted a new church. During a call this morning with Pastor Barry Manuel he made an interesting comment—”One of the groups said, ‘Till now we had the new wine skins, but no new wine!’” Since the conference significant healings have been seen. One of the additional signs has been ‘glory dust’ or glitter falling on people. The glory dust is falling more frequently in church, in homes, the youth group and even when two people get together for prayer. An outcome of this has been that several have given their lives to Jesus. Pastor Barry Manuel told Rajan Cherian that at first he was not thrilled with it, but when he saw the change in people, doubts left him. One man had come with his wife reluctantly. During the break he was seeking to leave when he noticed that ‘glory dust’ was on his hand. He immediately repented and gave his life over to the Lord. (For more on this church see their website www.mvbapc.com.au) When we got this news, we spoke to Unity who had received the prophecy in September 2006 that revival would come next to Australia. Even as we spoke she fell in the Spirit and nearly tipped the communion table over! When we called her an hour later—after she had ‘come back’. She said that she went with Jesus in a vision to Australia where angels are celebrating. She had one more sobering word from Jesus— she said she saw huge locked gates and a key lying beside it. Jesus told her that soon the ‘lawless one’ would be released. (For more read 2 Thess 2) Time is short. Prepare your hearts.
“Jairus’ daughter, get up!” The healing of Unity thru Bah Lambok Toy’s ministry Readers will remember the little girl Unity Surong (14) who has been significantly used in this revival. Unity had fallen grievously sick this month. Her pulse and blood pressure had fallen dramatically and the doctors were suspecting a serious heart condition. Many had been praying for her recovery, and doubtless the prayers of many helped. One person who was instrumental was Bah Lambok Toy from Mawprem, who is an evangelist with Soul Ministries. He said on a telephonic interview, ‘I am an evangelist, not a worker of miracles. Yet God was pleased to show me what to do. I was told to go to the hospital where Unity was, and pray for her. I was to say three times, “Jairus’ daughter, get up in Jesus’ name!’ I did so. The third time I said it, Unity sat up immediately. This was at 9:45 in the morning. She was discharged in the afternoon from the ICU.’ We spoke to Unity on the phone and she is back in action! Praise God! I danced like a mad woman! Amazing story of Iba from Nongrim Sadew village As told by Barkos Warjiri I first heard of Iba Warjri (8 yrs) in October 2006 when I was told of a little girl who had a vision. I met her along with my wife Pauline, on 26th December 2006 at her village, Nongrim Sadew, about 25 kilometres from Shillong and spoke to her and many others. During the Youth Revival services in September, there was a tremendous outpouring of God’s Spirit . Young men and women and children fell like ninepins as they were overcome by the sheer presence of God. Iba saw a vision of the end times. When she woke up she recounted her vision of the Rapture, Jesus’s return, the Judgement and so on as if she had read the book of Daniel! Last Great Revival After the vision one of the women in the church called out “Jesus, Jesus”. Iba rushed out of the church building along with many others. When she looked at the moon, it looked like a cloud very near her. She saw an image of Jesus in the cloud and then it disappeared. The stars looked as if they were following the moon, which seemed to move very fast. She saw a crown and angels dressed in white and she saw God’s glory but could not see His face, nor could she describe His majesty. She also saw her parents wearing crowns. She was so happy, she praised God and danced, in her own words, “like mad woman!”
Surgery Averted.. Healing Confirmed Scan shows Intestinal Obstruction healed As told by Alan Majaw Esther Kharshieng, organist at the Laban Presbyterian Church, had been suffering for years from chronic stomach ailments and severe pain. In October 2006 she did an endoscopy scan that confirmed an Intestinal Obstruction was the cause. Surgery was scheduled for about a month from then. In early November 2006, one morning on reading Scripture, the words that Jesus spoke to Zacchaeus came alive to her – “Today salvation has come to your house… For the Son of man has come to seek and save that which was lost” (Luke 19:9-10) She claimed these words in faith and knelt down. Soon she felt something pouring out from her head as if she was sweating very, very hard. In retrospect it looks as if that was when her disease was being removed out of her body by the Lord Jesus. The next day she went back to the hospital and requested for a scan to be taken again as she believed she was healed. It being a season of revival in Shillong, with many supernatural healings being reported, such a request was entertained. When the scan was taken, it showed that she was indeed right – there wasn’t any intestinal obstruction any more. 3 months later the healing remains. During the retreat she said, “How can I possibly express my thanks to the Lord? In whatever way the Lord will use me, I am ready.”
Reconciliation after 33 yrs! Peace comes after earthquake February 1st, 2007 As told by Barkos Warjri Bah Barkos and Rev Edwin Edwin Langstieh recently visited Diskiang village in the West Khasi Hills. They met with a young man—Moonshine Jyrwa (18) who God has used along with other young people in the village to bring unity and peace. Moonshine had a deep experience during the revival and had the burden to bring peace to his village which had been divided for 33 years. He and the other young people called the factions together—and God intervened through an earthquake. Read this full story here. Bah Khlain’s healing ministry January 30th, 2007 Bah Khlainbor Lyngdoh has a remarkable ministry of healing. He says, ‘Ten years ago, when my children were young, I began to anoint them with oil and pray. They got healed immediately.’ This work has grown dramatically especially in the recent revival. Today people come from all over Meghalaya, Mizoram, and Nagaland to get prayer. No problem is too big! Cancer, demon possession, kidney failure, tumors are all dealt with.
