Touch of the Holy Spirit getting even Stronger
AUG 31ST 2006          GUARDIAN NEWS BUREAU

SHILLONG, AUG 31: Christian faithful of the Presbyterian Church in Khasi Hills are now experiencing a touch of the Holy Spirit, leaving other non-believers amazed at the strange behaviour. More Here

The outpouring of the Holy Spirit in the form of a Revival came after the Presbyterian Church celebrated the Revival Centenary celebration at Mairang on April 23 last. This has generated euphoria amongst the believers and the rationalist.

Students in two schools in the city — All Saints Diocese Higher Secondary School and Khasi Jaintia National Government Upper Primary School, Mawkhar experienced the anointment of the Holy Spirit today.Chairman, MEDC, Dr D D Lapang while speaking at the meeting of Community Mobilisation on Enrolment Drive 06 at Umsning Auditorium, Umsning, Ri Bhoi District on August 31, 2006 (mipr)

ASDHSS principal Father P Lyngdoh said, "It is a divine phenomena and the work of Holy Spirit and we have been praying for the coming of the Holy Spirit and now we are receiving the Holy Spirit."

Lyngdoh told The Meghalaya Guardian that the anointment started around 2.30 p.m. when students of Class VIII heard a gospel song and then they were anointed and spread to students of other classes as well. Around 30-40 students were anointed by the Holy Spirit today, he added.

However, Lyngdoh a priest of the All Saint Church himself said that he does not understand why is the anointing mostly in the children and not in elder people or church leaders perhaps God has a special purpose for all this happening.

According to Evangelist Revival which means "bringing or returning to life, vigour and restoration brought about through the manifested presence of God, brings repentance, deliverance, holiness, refreshing joy, blessings, miracles, physical healings, salvation, rest, igniting fire in the hearts of people, prophecy, baptism in the Holy Spirit and the anointing that destroy yokes."

The Revival in the Hills is now spreading like a fire where children mostly experience this.
